Climbing Kilimanjaro

The Brief

Climbing Kilimanjaro is an incredible feat that many people dream of achieving. At 19,341 feet (5,895 meters), it is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. It is located in Tanzania, East Africa.

There are seven main routes that lead to the summit, Uhuru Peak. The most popular routes are the Marangu Route, the Machame Route, and the Lemosho Route. These routes take between five and nine days to complete. The longer routes have a higher success rate because they allow for more time for acclimatization to the altitude.
